2017

Happy New Year!
Thinking back about 2016... A lot of things had happened and there are many lessons to learn from those experiences.

My highlights of 2016 were:

  • Working for the first time in my life
  • 'A' level results
  • Korea
  • Getting into NTU
  • Australia
  • Freshmen Orientation Camp (FOC)
  • Start of Uni life
  • Braces
  • Surviving finals! (during my birthday)
  • First GPA
  • Christmas
  • PRESENTS!!

Honesty, I felt sad when I was having finals during my birthday period. And knowing that finals will always happen on my birthday for the next 3 years. I got a lot of surprises this year. But the best was my birthday present from my siblings. I also experienced a lot of dilemma. Whether to put braces? Whether to extract my teeth or not? And now the biggest dilemma is if I should opt for accelerated program. It was surprising that I did well for first semester and was offered to do accelerated which means that I would finish a semester earlier than my friends. However, that would mean that I have to overload each semester. Looking through the curriculum made me afraid. I have a few more days before I decide what to do... I believe that there are no right or wrong choices in life but the consequences of our choices matter most.
This past year, I also learn how to adapt to new situations. Actually that happens for us all the time as the cliche saying goes , "Change is the only constant". I felt that the transaction from JC to Uni is a huge jump. The important take away from Uni is how to manage play and study time. Unlike a very structured timetable, in uni there is more free time in between lessons. And somedays I need not go to school.  I am really glad to have meet great friends from Hall and MSE during FOC. They have made my journey through first semester enjoyable and less stressful. And the constant encouragement from my all time best and good friends. Friendship is just so wonderful!:)
